A senior police officer says Bollywood actress Jiah Khan was found dead at her residence in Mumbai.

MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA (JUNE 4, 2013) (ANI) -  Bollywood actress Jiah Khan was found dead at her apartment in Mumbai, police officers said on Tuesday (June 4).

"Nafisa Khan, who is known as Jiah Khan, was found hanging by her mother at around 10.45 pm (local time) at her resident on the first floor of Sagar Sangeet (apartment). Her body has been brought here and post-mortem will be conducted," said Dorje.

Media reports said, Jiah was raised in England and had recently returned to Mumbai where she was looking for work.

In 2007, Jiah made her acting debut with mega star Amitabh Bachchan in the film ''Nishabd'.

She has also appeared in Aamir Khan starter 'Ghajini'. Her latest movie was 'Housefull' in 2010.
