LONDON, ENGLAND, UNITED KINGDOM (JANUARY 9, 2014) (REUTERS) - British pop acts Disclosure and Bastille led the field at the BRIT Award nominations for 2014 with four nominations each on Thursday (January 9), on a night largely dominated by British newcomers.
Drum and bass dance collective Rudimental received three nods for British Single, British Group and Album of the Year.
Band member Kesi Dryden said the multiple nominations showed how much they had achieved in the last 12 months.

Newcomer Sam Smith was the talk of the night, having received the accolade of the BRITs Critics Choice Award, making him the tastemakers' favourite.
"I'd worked very hard because I really wanted this award, like I don't want to beat around the bush, I watched every single year and it's my, it was my dream to get it and I really worked hard and fought to get it," he said.
Last year's Critic's Choice winner, Tom Odell, picked up two nominations this time around, for British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
Pop singer Ellie Goulding also received three nominations.
