NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES (OCTOBER 5, 2011) (HOLLYWOODTV) - George Clooney has never been one to shy away from politically-charged films, and now he's turned his attention to a project called "The Yankee Comandante". The film is an adaptation of the massive 'New Yorker' article from David Grann about william Alexander Morgan. Morgan helped Fidel Castro and the Cuban rebels overthrow Fulgencio Batista. It is unknown whether or not Clooney will be playing Morgan in the film, as no casting announcements have been made.
