Megan FoxJessica Alba, and Ed Helms announce the nominees for the 70th annual Golden Globe Awards, as HFPA members weigh in on the nominations.

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIAUNITED STATES (DECEMBER 13, 2012) (REUTERS) - Amidst the bustle of an early Thursday morning (December 13) for the announcement of the Golden Globe nominations in Beverly Hills, members of theHollywood Foreign Press Association speak their opinions and stake their bets for the ceremony in January.

Actor Ed Helms was joined by actresses Megan Fox and Jessica Alba as they announced the list of nominees for this year's awards.

With Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" topping the list, Hollywood Foreign Press Association(HFPA) members, Ramzi Malouki, from Tunisia, and Elisabeth Sereda, from Austria, were not entirely surprised about the films picked this year. But they had different opinions about their favorites.

"Seeing 'Rust and Bone' and Marion Cotillard, my favorite besides 'The Intouchables,' I'm a little bit disappointed that Omar Sy, the actor, in 'The Intouchables' was not nominated," expressed Malouki, a journalist and a voting member of the HFPA. "But the thing is, when you look at the category and if you count 'Amour,' a French-speaking film, it is ambiguous." He concluded referring to the French-language film entry from Austria.

Sereda, also a voting member, focused on the variety of films selected by the HFPA.

"Diversity, just having different subject matters," she pointed out. "If you look at a film like 'Life of Pi' and a film like 'Argo,' or 'Lincoln,' very different films, all brilliant in their way."

On Amy Poehler and Tina Fay, the two female hosts for this year's telecast, both of whom are nominated for awards, Dick Clark Productions president, and TV producer, Orly Adelson said:

"The hosts are nominated. That doesn't happen often. So, I'm excited to see what they are going to do."

The 70th Annual Golden Globes will be televised live on January 13 on NBC.
