LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES (MAY 11, 2013) (EIF HANDOUT) - Halle Berry kicked off the 20th annual Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) Revlon Run/Walk for Women in Los Angeles on May 11. The Oscar-winning actress, who is now pregnant with her second child, joined other celebs taking part in the event, including "Modern Family" star Julie Bowen and Andy Garcia.
For Berry, supporting cancer research is something she is proud to be a part of.
"I've been touched by cancer in my life. I've lost loved ones. I've had women that have beat the battle. So I'm encouraged by that. I think it's important to be a part of raising money and help raising awareness . It's women helping women, and I really, really love that," said Berry.
The EIF Revlon Run/Walk events in Los Angeles and New York have raised over $65 million over the years to support research, deliver treatment services for medically underserved women and provide support to women facing cancer and their loved ones.
