HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES   (REUTERS) - Actress Joan Fontaine passed away aged 96 on Sunday in California, according to media reports.

The Hollywood legend was the star of Alfred Hitchcock's classics "Rebecca" and "Suspicion", for which she won an Oscar for best actress.
