Justin Bieber cited for speeding, claims paparazzi chase

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (JANUARY 31, 2012) (HOLLYWOODTV) - Justin Bieber was ticketed for speeding on Highway 101 near Studio City today, and eyewitness Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine says the teen driver recklessly surpassed speeds of 100 MPH. Bieber claims he was being chased by paparazzi, but apparently went about trying to get away from them in the wrong manner, by weaving wildly in and out of traffic, while paparazzi allegedly following by driving on the shoulder and by cutting off other drivers. Says Councilman Zine, who called the police after he recognized the singer's distinctive chrome Fisker, "This was very bizarre, very outrageous and showed a total disregard for life and property. The way [Bieber] was driving was totally reckless, I would have arrested him if I had pulled him over. I wouldn't have given him a ticket and let him go."
