French designer Stephane Rolland's Haute Couture show ran late waiting for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. PARIS, FRANCE (JULY 3, 2012) (REUTERS) - U.S. rapper Kanye West and his girlfriend, the reality tv star Kim Kardashian, held up Paris Fashion Week for nearly an hour, as they arrived late to French designer Stephane Rolland's Haute Couture show on Tuesday (July 3). Models were all dressed up waiting backstage, while guests and journalists waited in the increasingly warm environment. The show was forced to start without the star couple but West and Kardashian finally arrived at the very end of the event, where the last look, the bride, strode across the catwalk. Chinese actress Fan Bingbing was the model wearing the bridal dress. West and Kardashian left just a few minutes later, surrounded by a crowd of journalists and fans waiting for them outside the venue. Stephane Rolland unveiled a very graphic collection, using fluid material such as jerseys and muslin for the women's comfort, and featuring new techniques, such as silicon-made fur or inlaid belts. Asked about the importance and stars wearing his outfit and his feelings about it, he said: "I'm always happy when it's perfect. The problem I have is that I'm always looking for what's wrong. But recently I had so many good things, so I'm very happy of course." The latest star seen in a Stephane Rolland gown was Beyonce Knowles during the BET awards on Sunday (July 1), when she was awarded Best Female R&B artist in Los Angeles, California. |
