Kanye West sits down for a rare hour-long interview on Kris Jenner's trial talk show. The rapper discusses his love for Kim Kardashian and his relationship with the paparazzi. (20TH TELEVISION/FOX) - Rapper and new father Kanye West sat down for a one-hour interview with his girlfriend's mother, Kris Jenner, for her trial talk show. In the rare chat West talked about the difficulties he faced after the death of his mother in 2007. The 36-year-old has been dating television personality and paparazzi favorite Kim Kardashiansince 2012. The couple recently had a daughter, North 'Nori" West on June 15th. West, who has had many scuffles with photographers, said his love for Kardashian outweighs the annoyance of the media. "I could have people saying, 'This is going to damage your credibility as an artist, or as a designer.' And I say you know, 'I don't care, I love this woman.' Or someone can say, you know, 'When the paparazzi surround you, people, everyone knows you don't like paparazzi, but why would you be with this person?' And I'm saying, 'I'm being with this person because, you know, I love this person and she's worth it to me.' You know, my grandfather just passed and his whole thing was never about money, it was never about popularity. His whole thing was joy, just joy, like having joy in his life. And she's my joy and she brought my new joy into the world and there is no paparazzi and there is no blog comment and there is nothing that, you know, is going to take that joy from me," said West. Reports say West will reveal the first picture of baby North West on the show, set to air on Friday, August 23rd. The episode is the finale to Jenner's multi-week summer test run on Fox affiliate channel that airs in U.S. cities including Los Angeles and New York. |
