NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES (JULY 24, 2011) (HOLLYWOODTV) - Katy Perry announced that her 3D concert movie will be released in time for the 4th of July holiday! The singer broke the news on the orange carpet at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards on Saturday, telling her friend and E! correspondent Kelly Osbourne that it will be called "Katy Perry: Part of Me." Katy didn't reveal the exact date, only that it would be around the holiday, Perry encouraged fans to "go and se it and be a firework," in reference to her own No. 1 hit song "Firework." Magical Elves are in talks to direct the movie, which will show Perry's life on and off the stage, all in 3D. Although Elves executives Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz are primarily known for their work on reality TV, they were also producers for the well received Justin Bieber 3D concert documentary, "Never Say Never."
