U.S. singer Randy Blythe of metal band Lamb of God was arrested in Prague over the death of a fan two years ago. PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC (JUNE 29, 2012)(NOVA TV) - The Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe, 44, was believed to be arrested at Prague airport on Wednesday (June 27) and brought to court on Friday (June 29). The detainment forced the cancellation of the band's concert on Thursday (June 28). Blythe was accused of "damage of health causing death", according to police, and faces five to ten years in the jail. Blythe is accused of causing the death of a fan at their gig at the Abaton club in Prague in May 2010. Blythe reportedly kicked the fan off the stage where he hit a concrete floor, after trying several times to climb on. The fan died two weeks later, according to Czech television station Nova TV. The band's record label is expected to be releasing a statement on Monday (July 2). |
