Lindsay Lohan accused of hit and run in New York City.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES (SEPTEMBER 19, 2012)  (NBC) - Actress Lindsay Lohan was arrested on Wednesday (September 19) for leaving the scene of an accident after she struck a pedestrian on her way into a hotel in lower Manhattan, police said.

Lohan's latest brush with the law started shortly before 2:30 a.m. when she drove a black 2010 Porsche Cayenne SUV into an alley between the Maritime Hotel and Dream Hotel on West 16th Street.

Lohan's vehicle clipped a 34-year-old man, police said without elaborating. She got out of the car and entered the Dream Hotel.

Lohan, 26, was arrested when she left the hotel a short time later, charged with a misdemeanor and released.
