Rapper Macklemore to perform same-sex marriage anthem at upcoming MTV Video Music Awards which will also feature a performance by Bruno Mars. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES (POOL) - Macklemore and Bruno Mars will each perform at the upcoming Video Music Awards (VMA) on August 25th, according to cable music channel MTV, which broadcasts the event. Macklemore, performing with his producing partner Ryan Lewis, is nominated for six VMA's, including video of the year for their runaway hit, "Thrift Shop." The pair will perform their same-sex marriage anthem "Same Love," the video for which is also nominated for best video with a social message. The MTV VMA's will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday, August 25. |
