The day's top showbiz news and headlines including Madonna and M.I.A. make Super Bowl headlines, the 2012 Oscar nominees gather for an annual lunch, and Zsa Zsa Gabor celebrates 95 years.

BEVERLY HILLS AND LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA AND INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA, UNITED STATES - Madonna gave a stand-out performance at the Super Bowl half-time show - delivering a spectacle that was mostly lauded by critics. However, singer M.I.A. stirred up some controversy: while performing "Give Me Your Luvin'" with Madonna, M.I.A. flipped off the camera, holding up her middle finger. The NFL and U.S. network NBC both issued apologies about the gesture.

It was an Oscar worthy day in Beverly Hills as this year's Academy Award nominees gathered for the annual Oscar luncheon and group photo. More than 150 of Hollywood's top producers, actors and directors assembled for the event. The awards will be handed out on February 26.

Finally, Zsa Zsa Gabor celebrated her 95th birthday on Monday (February 06) - Gabor was in and out of the hospital repeatedly throughout 2011 with various health complications. The socialite's husband was throwing a party in her honor that included a buffet and "lake of champagne."
