Mariah Carey teams up with Major League Baseball to help raise money for victims of hurricane Sandy. NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES (JULY 13, 2013) (MLB) - Mariah Carey took center stage on Saturday (July 13) to help raise money for hurricane Sandy relief programs. Carey, who recently dislocated her shoulder while filming a music video, didn't let the injury cramp her style. The 43-year-old adorned her sling with bling for her first look, and black feathers for her second ensemble. The New York Philharmonic performed baseball-themed music during the show including Randy Newman's Suite from "The Natural." The concert, which took place on the Great Lawn, was free to fans. MLB will make a $1 million (USD) donation to Sandy relief efforts. |
