Actress Lindsay Lohan says a 25-year-old man punched and choked her after an argument over cell phone photographs taken in her New York City hotel room, according to media reports.
NBC reported Lohan, 26, and a 25-year-old California man she was at a bar with earlier returned to the W Hotel in lower Manhattan. Sometime overnight, Lohan said she argued with the man after he refused to delete photos taken in her room from his cell phone. NBC reported Lohan alleged she took the phone and he then punched and choked her. Police took the suspect into custody and charged him on Sunday (September 30) with assault and harassment, according to local media reports. Lohan, who rose to fame as a child star in the 1990s, has been trying to make a comeback after her once promising movie career was derailed. She stars as screen legend Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime TV movie, "Liz & Dick," due to air in November. |
