Michael Jordan Downsizes His Life And Puts Up His Chicago Mansion For Auction

Michael Jordan's nine bedroom, 15 bathroom home is on the market and no doubt some of his well-heeled fans will battle for it at auction.

SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS, UNITED STATES (SEPTEMBER 11, 2009) (REUTERS) - Want to live like a basketball Hall of Fame legend? Michael Jordan's Chicago mansioncould be yours -- if you can afford to bid on the 56,000-square-foot abode.

Jordan's mansion has a regulation-size basketball court, a "gentlemen's retreat," and full wet bar. Mr. Jordan says he doesn't need such a big house now that his three children are grown-up.

The former Chicago Bulls basketball star's home was previously for sale for $29 million. Live bidding for the house begins on Monday night (12/16).

Jordan now owns the Charlotte Bobcats NBA team.
