Stars Ricky Gervais and Tina Fey hit the red carpet alongside their furry co-stars, the Muppets, at the Hollywood premiere for the "Muppets Most Wanted." HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES (MARCH 11, 2014) (REUTERS) - Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and more hit the red carpet on Tuesday (March 11), along with their timeless co-stars the Muppets at the Hollywood premiere of their latest movie, "Muppets Most Wanted."
Their human co-stars, Tina Fey and Ricky Gervais arrived a little later, both agreeing that the Muppets were incredible to work with. "It's the best, everyone is a genius, I mean you spend everyday and shoot scenes with Kermit the Frog, it's the best," Fey said. British comedian Ricky Gervais took it a step further, saying that for the film's main villain, Constantine, he would do absolutely anything. "I'd do anything with a frog, anything you could, I'd go to war, I'd go 'okay you're going with a frog," I'd go, 'oh, not so bad.' If you've got an evil Russian frog next to you I could do anything," Gervais said. Gervais himself plays a 'bad guy' in the film - "Badguy" being his character's last name - and said that he wasn't so much a villain as just a little morally slippery. "I'm not like a super villain, Constantine is more evil than me, and off screen we bounded as well over our mutual dislike of the pig, she's a nightmare," Gervais said. The film begins with the entire Muppets gang going on a world tour, selling out packed theaters for their show, but they quickly become embroiled in an international crime capper headed by Constantine, who happens to look exactly like Kermit the Frog. "Muppets Most Wanted" will hit theaters in the U.S. on March 21. |
