Reds, Blacks, Neutrals Dominate Globes Red Carpet

Stars tend towards bold reds and blacks on the 71st annual Golden Globes red carpet.

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES (JANUARY 12, 2014) (UNRESTRICTED POOL) - Hollywood's leading ladies appeared to favor shimmery champagne, along with bright reds and black lace for their gowns as they walked the red carpet for the 71st annual Golden Globe awards on Sunday (January 12).

Julia Roberts shined in a Dolce & Gabbana gown that combined a white dress shirt with a black column dress and rhinestone belt.

Jennifer Lawrence went with her trademark Dior, in a long white dress cinched with black bands.

Amy Adams started the red trend in a plunging Valentino. Other actresses opting for red includedLupita Nyong'o in Ralph Lauren, Edie Falco in Lanvin, and Berenice Bejo in Giambattista Valli.

Rocking shimmery champagnes were Zooey Deschanel and Michelle Dockery, both in Oscar de la Renta and Naomi Watts in Tom Ford.

Black is always a popular choice. Cate Blanchett opted for Armani Prive, Jessica Chastain picked Givenchy, and Emma Thompson chose a chic black gown with a glittery gold top.

The carpet was also a maternity catwalk with Drew BarrymoreOlivia Wilde, and Kerry Washingtonall showing off their blossoming baby bumps.
