Ridley Scott gives a sneak peek at his summer sci-fi thriller, "Prometheus."

20TH CENTURY FOX - Sir Ridley Scott treated an audience in London on Tuesday (April 10) to an extended sneak peek at one of summer's most anticipated movies, "Prometheus." Directed by Scott, the 3D movie is a sci-fi thriller that follows a team of explorers who must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

The movie marks Scott's return to sci-fi, after classics like "Bladerunner" and "Alien."

While the trailer shows many similarities to 1979's "Alien," Scott has said that "Prometheus" originally developed out of his earlier story, but has evolved from a prequel into a much broader movie.

The films stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace and hits theaters in June.
