Singer Sheryl Crow reveals she has a benign brain tumor, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper.

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES  (REUTERS) - Sheryl Crow was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor late last year but says she does not worry about it. The singer told the Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper that the tumor was discovered when she went to a hospital for an MRI test because she was concerned about memory loss.

"I haven't really talked about it," she told the newspaper's nightclub and entertainment reporter Doug Elfman in an interview that was posted online Tuesday (June 05). "In November, I found out I have a brain tumor. But it's benign, so I don't have to worry about it. But it gives me a fit."

The singer noted she has a history of forgetting lyrics. She told the Review-Journal it happened while singing her hit "A Change Would Do You Good" at a show in Las Vegas in the 1990s.

"I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI. And I found out I have a brain tumor," she said. "And I was like, 'See? I knew there was something wrong."

Indeed, Crow made headlines just this May when she forgot words to "Soak Up the Sun" at a show in St. Petersburg, Florida. Onstage at the time, she joked "I'm 50. What can I say!"

Crow, a mother of two, was previously diagnosed with early stage breast cancer in 2006, but underwent successful treatment that year.
