Sports Illustrated" unveils its 50th anniversary swimsuit issue and "The Waltons" star Ralph Waite dies at the age of 85.

 (SPORTS ILLUSTRATED/JAMES MACARI)  Sports Illustrated magazine on Thursday (February 13) unveiled its annual swimsuit issue with models Nina Agdal, Lily Aldridge and Chrissy Teigen on the cover of its 50th anniversary edition.

The models are the latest to win a spot on the cover of the magazine's swimsuit issue, which has boasted the likes of Heidi KlumElle Macpherson, Tyra Banks andKate Upton on its cover early in their careers.

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, which will be released on Feb. 18, is annually the most widely-read edition of the magazine.

Kevin Spacey and the cast of Netflix's Emmy-Award winning original series "House of Cards" celebrated the launch of season two with a screening in Los Angeles on Thursday (February 13).

The 54-year-old actor plays ruthless South Carolina Congressman Francis Underwood in the online-only series on the subscription video streaming service, which releases the entire 13-episode season on Friday (February 14).

The acclaimed show is directed by David Fincher ("Fight Club" and "Social Network"), and also stars Robin Wright and Kate Mara.

"House of Cards" made television history last year when it won three Emmys and established Netflix as a power player in entertainment.

Ralph Waite, who played the good-hearted but soft-spoken patriarch on the 1970s U.S. television drama "The Waltons," died on Thursday (February 13) in Southern California. He was 85.

Waite, who served in World War Two and was an ordained Presbyterian minister, is best known for the role of John Walton Sr. on the CBS drama about rural Appalachian life during the Great Depression.
