Socialite Paris Hilton says that turning 30 feels 'amazing', celebrating her birthday at a posh club in New York City.

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES (FEBRUARY 17, 2011) REUTERS - Socialite Paris Hilton jetted from sunny California to chilly New York to celebrate her 30th birthday with friends and family on Thursday (February 17).

Hilton, who had thrown a Moulin Rouge-themed bash at a Los Angeles nightclub the night earlier, showed up at the fancy midtown nightclub LAVO in a sparkling black dress to dazzle photographers.

The hotel heiress, who had previously said in media interviews that she was worried about turning 30, said that she was not afraid anymore.

"The big 3-0- feels amazing. At first I was a little weary about it, you know, it seems like a big number. But I feel that I have accomplished so much at this age, and I just feel so proud and excited and I am young at heart. I always will be," Hilton told Reuters.

Hilton's boyfriend and nightclub owner Cy Waits was also at the party. Waits is reported to have given Hilton a $375,000 (USD) limited edition supercar for her birthday.

When asked if she was ready to settle down, Hilton said that she was happy with the relationship.

"It's almost our year anniversary, and I love him so much. I am so happy, I can't imagine being with anyone else. And I am excited for our future together," Hilton said with a smile.

She also revealed that she is working on a new album.

"It's a lot different than my first one. It's more techno kind of house music. And I was really inspired by Kylie Minogue as I love her music."

Hilton, who is reported to have recently reconciled with her former friend and socialite Kim Kardashian after a long and much publicized feud, commented on her other ex-friend Lindsay Lohan, who recently was charged with a single count of felony grand theft .

"I just wish her the best you know. I think she just needs the love of her family, and everything will be okay," she said.

The Hilton Hotel heiress, true to form, showed up fashionably late for her birthday celebration.
